KAKINADA: The Godavari waters are flowing elegently. At present 7,000 cusecs of water was released to three main canals -- Central Delta, the Eastern and Western Deltas.
The head works wing in the irrigation department, R Kasi Visweswara Rao, said there was no increase in the flows in the river. Naturally, there was a slight increase and decrease in the flows in June.
If there are rains in catchment area, the flows can be increased in Dowleswaram barrage. Now, there was no such heavy rains in the catchment area, he added.
