Naidu Fills Nominated Posts with TD, JS and BJP Leaders
Vijayawada: The alliance government led by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has filled the nominated chairperson posts for 20 corporations.
A preference was evident for the Telugu Desam, which took 16 posts, while three posts went to the Jana Sena and one post to the BJP.
Naidu zeroed in on TD’s grassroots workers for these appointments, favouring those who consistently contributed to the party's growth. The list saw inclusion of several youths, with 11 TD cluster in-charges and 6 unit in-charges being honoured with chairperson roles.
State BJP’s chief spokesperson Lanka Dinakar gets the chairman post for the 20-point formula panel, while the JSP leader Tammireddi Sivasankar gets the chairman post of the AP Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Corporation (APMSME DC).
Thota Mehar Sitarama Sudheer gets the state Civil Supplies Corporation and Venumulapati Ajaya is chairman of AP Township Infrastructure Development Corporation, APTIDCO.
The 16 TD leaders who got the nominated posts were Abdul Aziz who would be chairman of the Wakf Board, Animini Ravi Naidu as head of the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP), Battula Tatayya Babu as head of the AP Housing Board and Vajja Babu Rao as chairman of Andhra Pradesh Trade Promotion Corporation Ltd (APTPC).
Nukasani Balaji is made chairman of the AP Tourism Development Corporation. Konakalla Narayana and PS Muniratnam get chairman and vice chairman posts of APSRTC.
Peela Govinda Satyanarayana was named as chairman of AP Urban Finance & Infrastructure Development Corporation, Pilli Manikyala Rao as chairman of Leather Industries Development Corporation and Pithala Sujatha as chairperson of AP State Consumer Protection Council.
Manne Subba Reddy will head the AP State Seeds Development Corporation, Mantena Rama Raju the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC), and Nandam Abaddhayya the AP Padmashali Welfare and Development Corporation.
Boragam Srinivasulu was named the chairman of the AP Scheduled Tribes Cooperative Finance Corporation, Damacherla Sathya the AP Maritime Board, Deepak Reddy the chairman of SEEDAP and Karrothu Bangarraju the chairman of AP Markfed.
