Andhra Pradesh govt to offer self-employment loans via corporations: Dola
Kurnool: Social welfare minister Dr Dola Sri Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy stated that all corporations, weakened over the past five years, will soon begin providing loans for self-employment to eligible individuals. He made this announcement while distributing pensions in Nennurupadu, Kondapi mandal, on Saturday.
The minister highlighted that pensioners now have the facility to withdraw three months’ pensions at once if they miss collecting them for two months. He noted that Rs 122.22 crore has been distributed to 2,86,034 pensioners in Prakasam district.
He assured that eligible individuals will soon receive houses and plots of land and announced that new pensions would be issued from January. Addressing rumours, he clarified that pensions have not been discontinued and reaffirmed that all eligible individuals will receive them.
The minister added that gas cylinders are being provided free under the Deepam scheme, medical services are being extended through NTR Arogya Sri, and those ineligible for the scheme are being supported through the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
Criticising the lack of development under the previous government, he highlighted significant progress in villages under the current regime. He also announced plans to supply Nagarjunasagar water to the Kondapi constituency, with work slated to commence next summer.
