Andhra Pradesh: Heavy Vehicle Movement Suspended on Paderu Ghat Road

Visakhapatnam: In view of the inclement weather condition, the movement of heavy vehicles on Paderu Ghat Road has been suspended for the next three days. ASR district collector A.S. Dinesh Kumar appealed to operators of the heavy commercial vehicles to take alternative routes or defer their journeys, as heavy rains are expected in the region for the next three days. Besides, an advisory was also issued wherein truckers and motorists were warned not to cross streams or water bodies.

Apart from this, district and mandal-level officials were told to set up control rooms in their areas. Following the Met office forecast of heavy rainfall, the collector’s office announced the cancellation of the public grievance redressal which was scheduled for Friday.
