Home Minister Anitha Announces Seizure of 25,251 kg of Ganja
Vijayawada: Home minister Anitha Vangalapudi has directed senior police officials to pay special attention to control of ganja and drugs.
Participating in a review meeting at the Mangalagiri police headquarters on Saturday, she lauded the seizure of 25,251 kg of ganja by the Anti-Narcotic Task Force team. She underlined that exemplary action be taken against ganja smugglers, which will act as a strong warning to those who repeatedly involve themselves in transportation of ganja.
Anitha asked police officials not to ignore under any circumstances those who commit crimes against women and children. She wanted sensitive cases related to children and women reviewed on a priority basis.
The home minister directed top police officers to crack down on those who post obscene posts on social media. This will send a message to those who act like fanatics on social media.
