Andhra Pradesh: Jagan Demands Justice for Subbarayudu

Anantapur: YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday came down heavily on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh for encouraging attack on opposition leaders to divert public attention from implementation of welfare schemes. “Not only the perpetrators of attacks, but those who orchestrated the crimes must be held accountable,” Jagan said.

The former CM consoled the grieving family of Pasupuleti Subbarayudu, who was murdered last Saturday allegedly by TD men at his residence in Seetharampuram village in Nandyal rural in Nandyal district. Jagan met Pasupuleti Subbarayudu's family at his residence and consoled the family.

Speaking to media, the former CM lambasted TDP coalition government for the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. He specifically mentioned the names of Nara Lokesh and Chandrababu Naidu demanding that they be named as co-accused in such cases.

He said Subbarayudu was hacked to death in his house in police presence. “Despite prior warnings to the police about the possibility of an attack, no additional forces were deployed, and the attackers were allowed to flee the scene after the crime,” he said.

The YSRC would approach the High Court, and if necessary, the Supreme Court, to seek justice for Subbarayudu's family and to ensure safety of party workers and their families, he said.

Jagan accused Chandrababu Naidu of having no intention to benefit people and alleged that Naidu is creating chaos instead of fulfilling promises made during elections.

"Chandrababu deceived women and children. He promised Rs 15,000 to every child but failed to implement this. After elections, he betrayed the children. Under our government, everyone would have already received Amma Vodi and Rythu Bharosa benefits. He promised Rs. 20,000 to farmers but deceived them," the former CM added.
