Andhra Pradesh: Jagan Slams CM Naidu Over Injustices and Corruption
Vijayawada: Former chief minister and YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy held a series of meetings with Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC) and Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituency (ZPTC) members from Pendurthi, Payakaraopeta, and Narsipatnam constituencies and said Chandrababu was committing atrocities with money and power and a message should be sent to him with the upcoming MLC election that injustice and exploitation will not prevail.
Addressing the meeting at the camp office here on Thursday, the YSRC chief highlighted the unfair practices in the Visakhapatnam standing committee elections, where Telugu Desam, which is in opposition in the GVMC, has allegedly bribed and intimidated voters. He criticised the portrayal of these actions by the NDA coalition government as achievements by certain media outlets.
Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said if YSRC is in the same position as TD now, his party would not have contested the standing committee elections. “All these people won on the party symbol and flag. Misusing power by using the police undermines the very essence of justice,” he said.
Former chief minister highlighted that the “Super Six” promises made during the election campaign were not honored. “We provided food to those who were hungry, but Chandrababu promised them biryani. Now both food and biryani are gone, leaving people hungry again,” he remarked.
He said there were several failures in governance in the last two months, citing ruined schools, deteriorating government hospitals and farmers struggling for seeds. He recollected that these services were delivered to the doorstep during his administration, a practice stopped under the NDA coalition government.
The YSRC Chief mentioned that People are watching the lack of governance, law and order and the destruction of systems and added that Chandrababu got power through lies and such power is not permanent.
