Andhra Pradesh: Minister Contributes Rs 5 Lakh to Saluru Anna Canteen

Visakhapatnam: Minister of women and child welfare and tribal welfare Gummidi Sandhya Rani has contributed Rs 5 lakh to the newly initiated Anna Canteen project in Saluru. The Anna Canteens are aimed at providing affordable meals to the underprivileged.

The minister set the foundation stone for the canteen on Wednesday which will be located within the premises of the tahsildar office. It is estimated to cost Rs 60 lakh to construct the canteen. The meals at the canteen will be available for just Rs 5.

The minister has urged the community to participate in the initiative by donating food during celebrations such as birthdays and weddings, fostering a spirit of sharing and brotherhood.
