Visakhapatnam: Home minister Vangalapudi Anita met with Vijayakrishnan, the newly appointed collector of Anakapalli district, at her residence on Saturday. Terming it a courtesy call, they discussed district-related issues.
The minister raised concerns about the Naval Alternate Operational Base (NAOB) at Bangarammapalem village in the district. She informed the collector about the challenges the base is posing to its residents
Anita informed Vijayakrishnan about the problems being faced by APIIC-displaced farmers in Nakkapalli mandal. In this regard, she asked him to provide jobs for locals in the companies in the area.
She further asked the collector to take steps for creating employment opportunities for the fishing community.
Leaders from Y. Rayavaram, Bangarammapalem and other stakeholders were present.
