Andhra Pradesh: One Dies in 2nd Blast, Govt Yet To Announce Ex Gratia
Visakhapatnam: A victim of the Synergene Active Independents explosion succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at a private hospital on Saturday. The female victim, identified as 22-year-old Roya Angiria from Jharkhand, had sustained burns covering 65 per cent of her body. The condition of three other victims, who suffered more than 90 per cent burns, remains critical.
District collector K. Vijayakrishnan talking to Deccan Chronicle said the ex gratia has not yet been announced but will be announced soon. The explosion occurred at Synergene Active Independents in Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City, B Block, on Friday at 12.10 am. The explosion was caused by static electricity igniting losartan chemical during a mixing process, leading to a vapor flash that severely injured four employees. They were immediately shifted to a private hospital in Visakhapatnam for treatment.
