Andhra Pradesh: Students Told to Hone Skills to Get Good Employment

Vijayawada: Minister for Mines & Geology and Excise, Kollu Ravindra, urged students to take full advantage of the Skill Census programme, aimed at enhancing employment opportunities through youth registration and skill training aligned with industry needs. He inaugurated the Krishna Tarang 2024, Krishna University’s Inter-Collegiate Youth Festival, on Tuesday at KBN College in Vijayawada. The vibrant three-day festival, concluding on December 12, serves as a platform for youth to showcase their talents and creativity.

Minister Ravindra commended Krishna University officials for consistently organising the annual festival, emphasizing the role of such events in fostering young talent and encouraging self-expression. He encouraged students to seize the opportunity to display their abilities and contribute to the cultural and intellectual development of the state.

Ravindra also highlighted government initiatives, including the Skill Census program, designed to improve employment opportunities by providing youth with industry-aligned skill training. He further emphasized the state’s commitment to technological progress, particularly in Artificial Intelligence, and the Swarnandhra@2047 vision to position Andhra Pradesh as a leader in development by 2047.

The event was attended by AP Maritime Board Chairman Damacharla Satya, Krishna University In-charge Vice-Chancellor R Srinivasa Rao, Rector MV Basaveswara Rao, KBN College Secretary and Correspondent T Srinivas, Principal Dr. G Krishnaveni, and other dignitaries.
