Andhra Pradesh: YSRC Leader Questioned Over Attack on Naidu's Residence

VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (CID) and Mangalagiri Rural police questioned former minister and YSRC leader Jogi Ramesh on Friday regarding the attack on Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s Undavalli residence during his tenure as opposition leader.

In response to a police summons, Jogi Ramesh, accompanied by his advocate, appeared for questioning, which lasted nearly 100 minutes. The police sought details about the incident, including the number of vehicles and people involved, who directed the attack, and whether it was premeditated. Jogi Ramesh's driver, Tandra Ramu, was also questioned.
Addressing the media afterward, Jogi Ramesh claimed the case was politically motivated by the previous TD government and expressed his intention to challenge it in court. He clarified that he went to Naidu’s residence to protest remarks made by Ayyanna Patrudu against YSR Congress Party leader Jagan Mohan Reddy, not to attack Naidu's home.
When questioned about his son Jogi Rajiv’s arrest in the Agri Gold lands scam case, Ramesh stated that his son had lawfully purchased the lands following a proper notification and would provide all necessary details to the media.
