Kurnool: Approximately 70 kg of plastic covers and iron wires were surgically removed from a cow’s body on Wednesday at the veterinary hospital in Yemmiganur.
Subrahmanyam Achari, Assistant Director of the veterinary hospital, emphasised the health risks posed to stray cattle by excessive plastic waste.
He confirmed that the cow's health is currently stable. The surgery was successfully performed by veterinary doctors Narendranath Reddy, Veeresh, and Ravi Teja under Achari's supervision. Social worker and advocate Thimmappa arranged for the necessary surgery.
