AP Approves Green Ammonia Plant and 2GG Electrolyser Project

Kakinada: Kakinada District Collector S. Shan Mohan announced that the state government has granted approval for the establishment of a Green Ammonia Plant, costing Rs. 13,000 crores, under the Clean Energy Policy. Additionally, a 2 Gigawatt Electrolyser Project, costing Rs. 2,800 crores, will also be developed in Kakinada. These initiatives aim to provide green energy and create employment opportunities for the youth.

Mohan further highlighted the ongoing development in the district, including the construction of a Flatted Factory Complex in Peddapuram, covering 2.24 acres at a cost of Rs 13.30 crores, funded by the central government. He also noted that three industrial clusters have been set up under the MSC-CDP programme, with a total investment of Rs 55.53 crores. A printing cluster has been established in Kakinada at Rs 14.76 crores.

Additionally, responding to the needs of students and villagers, APSRTC has introduced new services in 13 villages and purchased 40 buses for long-distance routes. Digital payment services have also been introduced for the convenience of passengers.
