AP Cabinet Swarmed by Crorepatis
Vijayawada: The newly formed Andhra Pradesh Cabinet is swarmed by crorepatis, 25 ministers in all, with the sole exception being minister Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy from Kondapi. His recorded assets are worth Rs 93.41 lakh.
The Association for Democratic Reforms and Andhra Pradesh Election Watch have released their report based on an analysis of the self-sworn affidavits of all the 25 ministers with regard to their criminal and financial background, education, gender and other details.
The average assets of 25 ministers pegged at Rs 129.46cr. Of them, six ministers declared that their assets were more than Rs 100cr. They are N. Chandrababu Naidu Rs 931cr; Ponguru Narayana Rs 824cr; Nara Lokesh Rs 542cr; TG Bharath Rs 278cr; Konidela Pawan Kalyan Rs 164cr; and BC Janardhan Reddy Rs 151cr.
With regard to liabilities of 24 ministers, Ponguru Narayana has the highest liabilities of Rs 190.17cr.
On ministers’ education, six (24%) ministers ran between 10th pass and 12th pass while 18 (72%) are graduates and above, while one minister is a diploma holder.
On age, 19 (76%) ministers were between 41 and 60 years while six (24%) were aged between 61 and 80.
There are three (12%) women ministers in the Cabinet.
With regard to criminal cases, 22 out of 25 ministers including the CM, 22 (88%) faced criminal cases. Of them, 14 (56%) ministers have serious criminal cases while one minister, Kollu Ravindra, faces a case related to murder.
Six ministers faced cases related to attempt-to-murder. They are N. Chandrababu Naidu, N. Lokesh, K. Atchannaidu, Vasamsetti Subash, BC Janardhan Reddy and M Ramprasad Reddy.
Four ministers declared that they were facing cases related to crime against women. They were S Savitha, Kandula Durgesh, P Narayana and V Anitha.
Six ministers declared cases related to hate speech; they are N. Chandrababu Naidu, K. Pawan Kalyan, N. Lokesh, K. Atchannaidu, V. Anitha and Nimmala Ramanaidu.
