Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu visited the Polavaram project construction site on Monday, marking his first visit since assuming office as the CM of residual Andhra Pradesh for the second time.
Naidu inspected the project, reviewing the progress of ongoing works. He conducted an aerial survey of the site, including the spillway, before landing.
The CM sought updates on the construction of the spillway, coffer dam, diaphragm wall, and other components from Water Resources officials.
He also toured the project surroundings with officials by bus and reviewed a photo gallery showcasing the work progress.
The Polavaram Project is an under-construction multi-purpose irrigation project on the Godavari River in the Eluru District and East Godavari District. The project has been accorded National project status by the Central Government of India.
