AP CM To Cycle In Visakhapatnam To Mark World Environment Day
"During my visit to Visakhapatnam tomorrow, I will ride a bicycle to spread the message of environmental protection among the people," Naidu said in a post on X.

Amaravati: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will participate in a bicycle rally in Visakhapatnam on Friday as part of World Environment Day celebrations.
He would also review the proposed Visakhapatnam Economic Region and attend a national workshop on seafood exports.
As part of the programme, Naidu will plant a sapling at the Andhra University Engineering College grounds under the Net Zero initiative and later take part in the bicycle rally. He would ride a cycle to a hotel on the Beach Road, where the national workshop is held.
Ahead of the event, the CM appealed to the citizens, public representatives, political leaders and government employees to use bicycles or e-bicycles and plant at least one sapling. In a message, he called upon people to protect nature, conserve natural resources and prevent air, water and soil pollution.
The national workshop will bring together stakeholders from the fisheries, aquaculture and food processing sectors, along with Union ministers and industry representatives. Discussions will focus on strengthening seafood exports, expanding market access and promoting sustainable growth in the fisheries sector.
Union commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal, food processing industries minister Chirag Paswan, fisheries minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, minister George Kurian, minister SP Singh Baghel and civil aviation minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu would attend the event.
The workshop will review the status of seafood exports, explore opportunities in new international markets including the European Union and discuss measures to improve traceability systems, sustainable aquaculture certification and value-added exports.
Participants will also deliberate on opportunities in deep-sea marine resources and emerging sectors such as seaweed cultivation, ornamental fish farming and pearl culture.
Central and state government support schemes, including incentives for value-added products and assistance for micro, small and medium enterprises, would also be discussed.
Benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Kisan Samridhi Sah-Yojana and Kisan credit card schemes will be distributed to eligible beneficiaries. Later, the CM would review the progress of the proposed Visakhapatnam economic region with senior officials.
