Naidu urged investors to seize the opportunity, describing the present period as the right time to invest in the state.

Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has pitched Andhra Pradesh as a “most attractive” destination for semiconductor manufacturing, while inviting global industry leaders to visit the state within the next 30 days to explore its investor-friendly policies and opportunities.

Addressing the Semicon Ecosystem Roundtable Conference in Singapore on Tuesday, Naidu said Andhra Pradesh is rapidly positioning itself as a preferred destination for high-technology manufacturing and global investments. He stressed that the state is committed to a Speed of Doing Business model, aimed at ensuring faster approvals, efficient governance and seamless industrial growth.

The CM observed that India is currently among the safest and most-promising destinations for global investments and said AP stands out due to its proactive industrial policies, robust infrastructure and business-friendly environment.

He urged investors to seize the opportunity, describing the present period as the right time to invest in the state.

Highlighting the opportunities available across the semiconductor value chain, Naidu revealed that a semiconductor manufacturing facility is being established in the Rayalaseema region. The project would strengthen AP’s resolve to be a growing semiconductor and electronics manufacturing ecosystem.

Naidu also underscored the vast industrial potential of Rayalaseema, describing it as an emerging hub for advanced manufacturing sectors such as defence production, aerospace, electronics, fighter aircraft components and automobile manufacturing.

The semicon ecosystem roundtable brought together representatives from several leading semiconductor and technology firms based in Singapore. Participants included GlobalFoundries, NXP Semiconductors, ASMPT, One System Technologies, Techsend Photomask, Aquatech and other industry stakeholders.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to creating a robust semiconductor ecosystem, the CM said AP is ready to partner with global companies to drive innovation, manufacturing excellence and sustainable industrial growth. He expressed confidence that the state’s strategic location, infrastructure and policy support would make it a key player in the global semiconductor supply chain.
