AP Governor extends greetings to Telangana people in view of State Formation Day celebrations

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer on Saturday extended warm greetings to the people of Telangana on the occasion of Telangana Formation Day celebrations on June 2.

In a message, he said, “I extend my warm greetings and hearty felicitations to the people of Telangana on the occasion of ‘Telangana Formation Day’ celebrated on June 2 every year, as Telangana became India’s twenty-ninth State on 2nd June 2014.”

“Telangana is a blessed land, thriving with vibrant arts and crafts with unique synthesis of various cultures, which is clearly visible in the development of arts and crafts tradition. One can clearly witness the composite, pluralistic and inclusive culture and traditions,” he said.

Bathukamma, a colourful and vibrant floral festival of Telangana, celebrated by women, is the pride of Telangana’s cultural identity and celebrating the inherent relationship between earth, water and man, he said.

Occasions like State Formation Day of different States and Union Territories forges a strong relationship and bonding among people of the country, and promotes mutual understanding, spirit of fraternity, and universal brotherhood, he added.
