AP Govt accords priority for education, health: Minister
Vijayawada: Minister for water resources Nimmala Ramanaidu emphasised that the state government is prioritising education and health as crucial for the development of the state. During his visit to BRMV Municipal High School at Palacole in West Godavari on Saturday, he ate a mid-day meal with the students and inspected the food quality. He encouraged students to report any issues with food supply directly to him.
The minister distributed textbooks, bags, and uniforms to the students. He criticised the previous government for neglecting the education sector, noting that nearly six lakh students had transferred to private schools.
Ramanaidu announced that the current government plans to fill 17,000 teacher vacancies and aims to create 20 lakh job opportunities in the next five years for the benefit of the unemployed youth.
