AP Govt. enhances ticket rates for Devara film, Allows special shows

Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government has accorded permission to the managements of all theatres in the State to enhance the ticket rates up to upper class Rs.110, lower class Rs.60 and multiplex Rs.135, all including GST per each ticket over and above the admission rates for the upcoming film ‘Devara’ starring Junior NTR and others.

These rates will be applicable for 14 days from the date of the release of the movie. The government gave permission to this effect following a request from Suryadevara Nagavamsi of Sithara Entertainments and the producer of ‘Devara’ movie.

The government also accord permission to all theatres in the State to screen half a dozen special shows of ‘Devara’ movie only on September 27 starting from 12 am and five shows for nine days from September 28 onwards, duly relaxing the condition-43 of Form-B License issued under the AP Cinema (Regulations) Rules-1970.

The screening of special shows is permitted on usual terms and conditions of payment of taxes to the government, subject to necessary changes in B-Form temporarily for a period of one day i.e., September 27 so as to avoid heavy rush, law and order problem and black-marketing of new movie tickets.

The District Collectors, Commissioners of Police, Joint Collectors and Licensing Authorities (Cinemas) in the State and all concerned shall take necessary action accordingly, according to Kumar Vishwajeet, Principal Secretary to Government.
