AP: Group-2 Mains Exam Begins

APPSC Group-2 mains examination has begun on Sunday as per the schedule.

Vijayawada: APPSC Group-2 mains examination has begun on Sunday as per the schedule. The APPSC has reviewed and responded to the government’s letter requesting the postponement of the Group-2 examination. In its response, APPSC has made it clear that, under the present circumstances, it is not possible to postpone the exam.

Furthermore, APPSC clarified that the issue of roster points is not addressed in the Group-2 notification, and it is not a valid reason to postpone the examination. The Commission also expressed concern over the role of coaching centers, stating that their influence is contributing to the candidates' demand for a postponement. APPSC firmly rejected these claims and expressed frustration over the spread of misinformation, suggesting that some groups are attempting to have the notification canceled.

In response to growing agitation among candidates in the state, the government has written a letter to the APPSC Secretary, requesting the postponement of the Group-2 Mains Examination due to unresolved roster errors.

Candidates have raised concerns over the conduct of the exam before the roster issue is rectified, leading to protests. Taking these concerns into account, the government has urged the APPSC to postpone the examination for a few days. The government has pointed out that the roster matter is currently in court, with a hearing scheduled on March 11. The government has also noted that there is still time to file an affidavit on the issue.

In the letter, the government requested that the examination not proceed until the legal proceedings are concluded. However, the APPSC has clarified that the Group-2 Mains Examination will be conducted as per the original schedule, despite the ongoing legal and roster-related concerns.
