The skills census aimed at examining the existing skill levels in the IT sector and identifying the specific skill sets needed by such companies. This is part of a larger goal set by chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu to create a database that would influence future training and development programmes.
The government intends to have another set of meetings with IT sector firms for successful execution of the skills census and to collect actionable data for future skill development initiatives.
