AP Logs 85.25% SSC Pass; Girls Outshine Boys

Over 2,100 schools achieve 100% results; Manyam tops, ASR lowest

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh recorded an 85.25 per cent pass rate in the SSC Public Examinations held in March/April, with girls outperforming boys by 5.22 percentage points, as results were released on Thursday.

Girls secured a pass percentage of 87.90, surpassing boys, who recorded 82.68 per cent. Minister for Education N. Lokesh released the results through ‘X’.

A total of 6,18,131 students from 12,089 schools appeared for the examinations. Of these, 5,26,954 candidates passed the exam. As many as 2,161 schools achieved a 100 per cent pass rate, while 16 schools recorded zero results.

Parvathipuram Manyam district topped the state with a pass percentage of 96.07, followed by Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema at 95.85 and Vizianagaram at 91.08. Alluri Sitarama Raju district recorded the lowest pass percentage at 57.12.

Among institutions, Andhra Pradesh Residential Schools registered the highest pass percentage at 96.04.

Subject-wise, mathematics recorded a pass percentage of 93.64, general science 91.28 and social studies 93.92. In medium-wise performance, English registered 86.28 per cent, Telugu 63.83 and Hindi 85.71.

In management-wise results, AP Residential Schools recorded 96.04 per cent, BC Welfare 96.02, private unaided 95.29, AP Model Schools 89.50, AP Social Welfare 89.41, KGBV 88.81, Zilla Parishad 78.09, aided schools 76.55, AP Tribal Welfare 75.04, municipal schools 72.02, Ashram schools 70.09 and government schools 69.63.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu congratulated Minister N. Lokesh, education department, teachers, staff, students and parents for making a wonderful achievement. He said, “Delighted to learn that the special initiatives taken to strengthen student performance have delivered such strong results. The 100-day plan has lifted the overall Class 10 pass percentage from 81.1 per cent to 85.25 per cent. It is especially heartening to see government schools improve from 72.8 per cent to 78.39 per cent with girls outperforming boys by 5.22 per cent. It is a great example of how focussed planning, supportive welfare measures and consistent effort can make a real difference.”

Speaking on the occasion, minister Lokesh said, “AP has been in the news for major investments and transformative projects, which makes me proud. But as HRD minister, the steady improvement in SSC results gives me even greater satisfaction.”

He added, “My heartfelt congratulations to all who have succeeded. To those who did not clear this time, do not lose hope. With the support of families, teachers and society, you can come back stronger. Our students are the backbone of AP’s future, and we remain committed to ensuring every child succeeds.”

AP has improved its pass percentage in SSC year on year. Accordingly, it secured 67.26 per cent in 2022; 72.26 per cent in 2023, 86.69 per cent in 2024 and 81.14 per cent in 2025.

Meanwhile, the Directorate of Government Examinations announced that SSC Advanced Supplementary Examinations, 2026, would be held from May 25 to June 4. Students can pay examination fees from May 1 to May 9 without a late fee and from May 10 to May 24 with a late fee of Rs 50.

Candidates can apply for recounting and re-verification of answer scripts online at www.bse.ap.gov.in from May 1 (10 am) to May 7 (11 pm). The recounting fee is Rs 500 per subject, while the re-verification fee is Rs 1,000 per subject.
