AP: Narayana directs civic officials to release 437 pending TDR bonds immediately

Vijayawada: Municipal administration minister P. Narayana has instructed municipal commissioners and officials from Urban Development Authorities to release 437 pending Transfer of Development Rights (TDR) bonds online by Friday night. He also directed the issuance of 654 fresh TDR bonds to applicants within two to three days.
The minister held a video conference from the Municipal Administration Directorate's office on Friday, discussing the status of TDR bonds with commissioners and officials.
Irregularities in the issuance of TDR bonds during the previous YSR Congress regime were identified across several municipalities. Subsequently, the Telugu Desam-led NDA government established a committee to investigate these irregularities, temporarily halting the issuance of bonds.
On Friday, Narayana instructed officials to expedite the release of the pending TDR bonds to beneficiaries and process the 654 applications without delay, ensuring smooth resolution and avoiding inconvenience to the public.
