AP: Social media agog over MVV switching loyalties

VISAKHAPATNAM: There are reports in social media that former Visakhapatnam MP M.V.V. Satyanarayana of YSRC and his auditor friend and business partner Gannamaneni Venkateswara Rao (G.V.) are making serious efforts to switch their parties.

The reports allege that M.V.V. and G.V. are offering crores to change their party, so that their properties could be protected and investigations avoided.

This campaign only gained momentum when M.V.V. did not meet YSRC Rajya Sabha member and north Andhra in-charge Y.V. Subba Reddy when the latter had been in Vizag on Thursday.

It is said M.V.V. and G.V. met Anakapalle MP C.M. Ramesh in Hyderabad last Saturday to protect them from the newly formed Telugu Desam-led NDA government. It is said Ramesh arranged their meeting with union home minister Amit Shah to be met by MVV.

However, BJP Visakhapatnam party office told Deccan Chronicle that after coming to know of such reports, BJP high command alerted the Anakapalle MP to be careful in such matters.

Thereafter, Ramesh held a press conference in Anakapalle saying “YSRC leaders are trying to join BJP. But BJP is not a dumping yard. Party will not entertain M.V.V. or G.V. 's attempts to join the party,” the Anakapalle MP remarked.
