AP to pave the way for reducing electricity bills through three energy efficiency programmes, including URJAVEER

Marking the successful completion of National Energy Conservation Week, A. Chandra Sekhara Reddy, Media Adviser for Southern States/UTs under the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), met with top energy sector officials, including those from Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. He also thanked BEE and organisations like Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) for their support in promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency in Andhra Pradesh.
Vijayanand highlighted the state’s prioritisation of 24/7 high-quality power supply under the guidance of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar. He explained that the programmes, along with the National Street Lighting Energy Efficiency Project, are expected to attract ₹2,000–3,000 crore in investments. A State Energy Efficiency Action Plan (SEEAP) estimates ₹8,000 crore in energy-saving investment potential by 2031.
