APSRTC Bus Collides on Tirumala Second Ghat Road, Traffic Disrupted

Tirupati: Several passengers were injured as an APSRTC bus was involved in an accident on the second ghat road of Tirumala on Monday.

The bus reportedly lost control and collided with a retaining wall, causing significant damage. As per initial reports, up to ten passengers were injured in the mishap. The accident caused a severe traffic disruption.

Traffic came to a standstill, with vehicles remaining halted on a distance of over two kilometres. TTD staff took action to clear the road. The injured passengers were moved to a hospital. TTD deployed a crane to remove the bus from the road, restoring traffic after some time.

Notably, heavy fog enveloped Tirumala, making road visibility extremely poor. TTD issued a caution to all drivers, urging them to be extra careful while traveling on the second ghat road. The thick fog was making it difficult for drivers to see the vehicles moving ahead of them, increasing the risk of accidents.

TTD has advised all vehicle operators to drive with utmost caution on the ghat roads.
