Arrangements in place for Ganesh Nimajjanam on Sep 15: Commissioner

Kurnool:Municipal commissioner P.V. Ramalingeswar announced on Thursday that comprehensive arrangements are underway at Vinayaka Ghat for the Ganesh Nimajjanam scheduled for the 15th of this month in Kurnool city. Over 100 officials from the public health and engineering departments, along with ward sachivalayam staff, will be on duty to ensure a smooth process on the day. Additionally, 270 workers have been appointed for sanitation duties.

The city corporation has allocated ₹41.25 lakh for the immersion preparations. Coordination with the police and other departments is in place to ensure the success of the Nimajjana Sobha Yatra. Precautions and measures for the immersion day have been communicated to municipal officials and staff.

The immersion will take place at six ghats, with one crane at each ghat and two additional cranes available. Yard swimmers from the fisheries department have been carefully positioned. The Commissioner urged the public to cooperate to ensure a successful Nimajjanam.
