ANANTAPUR: Film star Nandamuri Balakrishna has achieved a hat-trick by winning from the Hindupur assembly constituency for the third time.
Significantly, the super star is continuing the legacy of his father and TD founder N.T. Rama Rao, who had also represented Hindupur in the AP Legislative Assembly. Hindupur has remained a stronghold of TD since 1985 when Rama Rao contested from Hindupur.
NTR had also won thrice from HIndupur. His elder son Harikrishna had also represented Hindupur.
Balakrishna has scored his hat-trick with a majority of 31,602 votes, defeating his nearest rival Deepika of YSRC.
