Bhumana Accuses Alliance Government of Targeting YSRC Leaders
Tirupati: Former TTD chairman and YSRC Tirupati district president Bhumana Karunakar Reddy alleged that the NDA alliance government is trying to silence YSRC activists who are speaking against the atrocities of ruling coalition leaders.
Addressing media here on Monday, the former YSRC MLA condemned the government’s attempt to demolish the River View Resort at Srikalahasthi on what he called false pretexts, despite all permissions required having been taken. He described the move as a blatant act of political vendetta.
“This is not governance; it’s persecution. The resort is fully compliant with the law. Yet, the government fabricated reasons to target the resort simply because our leaders are exposing their unjust practices”, Bhumana charged.
He pointed out that when senior YSRC leader and former MLA Biyyapu Madhusudhan Reddy intervened to stop the demolition, the government filed cases against him, accusing Madhusudhan Reddy of obstructing officials. “These are baseless allegations meant to intimidate Madhusudhan Reddy, who has been a staunch critic of this government’s atrocities,” he stated.
The former TTD chairman termed the entire episode as part of a larger agenda to suppress opposition voices and misuse administrative power for political gains. Expressing solidarity with Madhusudhan Reddy, Bhumana vowed to continue fighting against the government’s undemocratic practices.
