Bhuvaneswari Criticises Past YSRC Regime for Self-Enrichment

Tirupati: Nara Bhuvaneswari, spouse of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, criticised the previous YSRC government for prioritising personal gains over public welfare and fostering chaos instead of ensuring development.

Interacting with women in Vanaguttapalli village while visiting the Kuppam constituency on Friday, she emphasised that her husband’s vision is to create a poverty-free society, where women and families thrive.

Bhuvaneswari highlighted the impact of DWCRA self-help groups (SHGs) introduced during Naidu’s previous tenure, which empowered women to handle significant financial transactions without dependence on male family members. “A happy woman ensures a happy family,” she remarked.

The Chief Minister’s spouse announced key developmental initiatives for Kuppam, including Rs 45 crore for municipal projects in the first phase, Rs 110 crore for constructing drainage systems in villages, and Rs1.4 crore for repairing the area hospitals. She expressed confidence that the Handri-Neeva project, slated for completion by July next year, would resolve the region’s water scarcity issues.

“There are plans to build 15,323 new houses and provide free solar panels for households,” she told the assembled women. Bhuvaneswari also interacted with students in the Kuppam constituency during her visit.
