BJP Leader Offers Reward for Info on Missing Ex-TTD EO
Tirupati: BJP leader P. Naveen Kumar Reddy has announced a symbolic reward of Rs 1,116 for information regarding the missing A.V. Dharma Reddy, former executive officer of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), who has not been seen since the recent election results.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Naveen stated, "Since the election results and the NDA coalition's rise to power in the state, the whereabouts of 'Adharma Reddy,' who managed all TTD departments for the past five years, remains unknown." His announcement coincides with ongoing controversy over the adulteration of ghee used in making Tirumala laddus.
Naveen criticised former TTD executive officers, including Dharma Reddy and K.S. Jawahar Reddy, for their silence on the issue. "While former chief secretaries and TTD chairpersons are openly discussing the laddu controversy, key figures like Dharma Reddy and Jawahar Reddy are notably absent," he remarked.
The BJP leader also criticised former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, urging him to uphold the traditions of the Tirumala temple. He called for a comprehensive investigation by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) into the laddu issue and raised concerns about the integrity of some temple priests and Agama scholars, suggesting they may be compromising traditions for political gain.
