Boating Set To Begin At Swarnala Cheruvu On June 25

Nellore: Swarnala Cheruvu, one of Nellore's prominent water bodies, is set to emerge as a major recreational and tourism destination with the launch of boating facilities on June 25.

Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy on Saturday inspected arrangements for the boat rides at the lake along with Telugu Desam Party state spokesperson Kotamreddy Giridhar Reddy.

Speaking on the occasion, Sridhar Reddy said the boating facility would be inaugurated at 5 p.m. on June 25 in the presence of District Collector Himanshu Shukla and other officials. He invited residents to visit the lake with their families and enjoy the new attraction.

The MLA said Swarnala Cheruvu occupies a special place in Nellore's landscape and noted that eight boats had been allotted to the lake. He claimed it would become the second location in Andhra Pradesh, after Vijayawada, to offer such a facility.

The MLA said efforts would continue to develop Swarnala Cheruvu into a vibrant leisure destination and create more tourism opportunities in the constituency.

With the launch of boating services, Swarnala Cheruvu is expected to emerge as a popular weekend destination for visitors from across the district.
