Boats Celebrate in Krishna River As Naidu Sworn In
Vijayawada: Fisherfolk celebrated by taking out their boats in Krishna River along the Prakasam Barrage on Wednesday as Nara Chandrababu Naidu got sworn in as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for the second term in truncated Andhra Pradesh.
The boat owners of the Amaravati capital area tied the Telugu Desam, Jana Sena and BJP flags to their vessels, as people in their hundreds thronged the Prakasam barrage to see the procession of boats in the Krishna River.
“During Krishna Pushkar times, the previous Chandrababu government undertook several development works at Tadepalli, Sitanagaram, and Tallayyapalem Siva Swamy Ashram, which developed the tourism sector in the region,” a boat owner pointed out.
Another boat owner said with Chandrababu Naidu becoming the Chief Minister, Amaravati region will witness rapid development.
