Vijayawada: Brahmana Chaitanya Vedika state president Siripurapu Sridhar has called for a sitting judge to investigate the recent fire at the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) executive office. He also seeks an inquiry into allegations against former TTD chairman Y.V. Subba Reddy and Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, who are accused of diverting `2,000 crore in donations.
In a media conference at the Vedika office on Sunday, Sridhar claimed YSRC leaders were behind the fire and suggested that certain officials were shielding former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and his associates from scrutiny. He criticised the increase in such incidents since the new government assumed office, including recent fires at the Madanapalle sub collector office and the CID office, which burned key files related to Heritage.
Sridhar urged the TD-led NDA government to act swiftly against those responsible and requested Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to set up a Vigilance Committee to address these issues. He warned that failure to act could lead to more incidents in the state.
