ANANTAPUR: A case has been registered against a woman and her lover for sexually harassing a 12-year-old girl in the Municipal quarters area of Chittoor. The man, Naveen was arrested on Saturday. The girl has been living with her mother, who worked as a labourer.
According to the police, the victim’s mother was in a relationship with Naveen for five years and the man had been sexually abusing the girl for the past year. They said that the mother did not stop him, and instead, supported the crime. The girl, a class 6 student in a school in Chittoor did not attend classes for a long time, and her neighbours alerted the police that she was not seen outside the house also.
The police immediately reached the spot and found out the abuse and sent the victim to a hospital.
