Participating as chief guest in a meeting at Narsapuram on Saturday, the Union minister said that the export promotion council for handicrafts was established in 1986 to bring together artisans from across the country. He said that the representatives of this organisation, who are continuously working to support the export of various items made by artisans at the nation aand international levels without any profit motive are commendable.
The water resources minister N. Rama Naidu said that even in the computer age, the demand for handicrafts made with human intelligence and creative power has not decreased at all.
