Centre’s complete support for AP: Purandeswari

Purandeswari credited the state’s ability to present a Rs 3 lakh-crore Budget to Central government assistance

Kakinada: BJP state president and Rajamahendravaram MP D. Purandeswari on Monday said the Central government was extending full support to Andhra Pradesh’s development.

Speaking after laying foundation stones for various road development projects in Nallajerla and Pangidi areas, she said both the Centre and the state were now working in tandem to achieve “double engine growth.” She noted that the Union government had released funds for the development of Amaravati as the state capital and for the Polavaram irrigation project.

Purandeswari credited the state’s ability to present a Rs 3 lakh-crore Budget to Central government assistance. She noted that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s introduction of the P-4 model for development reflected a visionary approach, but pointed out that a similar initiative had already been introduced at the national level a year earlier by Prime Minister Modi.

She also addressed the limitations of MPLADS funding, saying she could allocate up to Rs 5 crore across her seven Assembly segments but would be unable to provide large sums to every constituency. However, she reaffirmed her commitment to the overall development of the Lok Sabha constituency. Gopalapuram MLA M. Venkata Raju and local leaders were present at the events.
