Chandrababu Naidu commends NAREDCO's donation to CMRF
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu commended the philanthropic contribution made by the National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) in donating Rs 1 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF). On Friday, NAREDCO representatives handed over a cheque of Rs 75 lakh to CM Naidu at his residence in Undavalli. This follows an earlier donation of Rs 25 lakh, bringing NAREDCO's total contribution to `1 crore.
During the meeting, NAREDCO representatives expressed their appreciation for the government's decision to withdraw the Land Titling Act, which they said has helped protect people's property rights. They also welcomed the government’s decision to increase land rates but requested a one-year delay in implementing the decision due to the current challenges faced by the real estate and construction sectors.
Chief Minister Naidu responded positively to NAREDCO’s request and assured them of the government's full support in stabilising the sectors. He emphasised the crucial role of the construction industry in the state's economic growth.
The NAREDCO representatives also praised the government's innovative approach to providing faster approvals for investments and industries, which they believe will stimulate industrial growth and generate significant employment opportunities. They highlighted the importance of single-window approvals for construction projects to help the sector's development and expressed confidence that government incentives would help revive the construction industry.
The NAREDCO team was led by State President Gadde Chakradhar, and included executive vice presidents Paruchuri Kiran Kumar, Yaganti Durga Prasad, Talluri Sivaji, Secretary General Mamidi Sitaramiah, Treasurer Chava Ramesh Babu, along with other representatives such as P Rajasekhar, KNV Naresh, Mandava Sandeep and others.
