Chandrababu Naidu on pilgrimage to Tirumala

Tirupati: Newly sworn-in Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu arrived at the sacred town of Tirumala at night, marking his first pilgrimage to the renowned Venkateswara Swamy Temple after the grand swearing-in event on Wednesday.

Naidu, accompanied by his family members, landed at the Tirupati airport in the evening and travelled by road to Tirumala. They were given a warm welcome from TTD joint executive officer V. Veerabrahmam and other officials at Gayatri Sadan in the Padmavati guesthouse area.

The Chief Minister and his family were spending the night in Tirumala and would perform worship at the sacred hill temple on Thursday morning.

In anticipation of the VIP visit, the TTD made elaborate arrangements to facilitate a smooth darshan experience for them. The Tirupati district police ordered tight security across the temple town.

Naidu is scheduled to return to Amaravati on Thursday and take charge at the Secretariat at 4:41 pm.

Hundreds of Telugu Desam leaders, newly elected MLAs and supporters from across the district converged at the airport and Gayatri Sadan to hail their leader. Naidu was greeted by his supporters lining the road from Renigunta to Alipiri, and waving at his motorcade.
