Chittoor district's final electoral rolls released: 15.68 lakh voters registered
Tirupati: Chittoor District Collector and Election Officer, K Sumit Kumar, officially released the final electoral rolls under the Special Summary Revision (SSR)-2025 on Monday. The comprehensive revision reveals a total of 15,68,788 general voters, an increase of 2,286 voters compared to the draft rolls.
The district also includes 3,260 service voters, 168 NRI voters, and 23,499 voters with disabilities (PWDs). The rolls further show active participation from young voters, with 20,446 individuals aged 18-19 years registering.
Among the general voters, the district recorded the names of 7,72,079 males, 7,96,637 females and 72 third-gender individuals. The Palamaner assembly constituency emerged with the highest number of voters at 2,69,065, followed by Punganur with 2,39,149, Kuppam 2,27,034, Puthalapattu 2,21,638, GD Nellore 2,05,623 and Chittoor - 2,03,570.
The smallest constituency by voter population is Nagari, with 2,02,709 voters. The service voters category saw a total of 3,260 registered electors, comprising 3,174 males and 86 females. Notable numbers came from Chittoor with 839 service voters, and Puthalapattu with 1,027 service voters. Meanwhile, NRIs accounted for 168 voters, with Chittoor again leading the tally at 52 NRIs.
The rolls also highlight a strong representation of PWD voters, totalling 23,499. This includes 14,187 males, 9,311 females and one third-gender voter.
Palamaner registered the highest number of PWD voters with 3,855, followed closely by Puthalapattu with 3,841. Young voters aged 18-19 showed a strong presence with 20,446 registered in this age group.
Kuppam leads with 3,606 young voters, followed by Palamaner with 3,397. The district’s elector-population (EP) ratio stands at 696 per 1,000, while the gender ratio is 1,032 females per 1,000 males. Nagari recorded the highest gender ratio at 1,058, while Gangadhara Nellore has the lowest at 1,013.
The revision also indicates slight adjustments in service electors and PWD electors. For instance, the number of service voters saw a minor reduction of 46 from the draft rolls, while PWD voter registration remained almost unchanged.
