CIPET Invites Applications for Diplomas in Plastics Technology
Admissions will be based on ranks secured in the CIPET Admission Test (CAT), scheduled on June 7, 2026. A total of 150 seats are available for these courses.
Vijayawada: Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET), Vijayawada, is inviting online applications for three diploma programmes aimed at creating skilled manpower for the plastics and petrochemicals sector.
CIPET director Dr. Ch. Sekhar announced that candidates who have passed their Class 10 can apply for their three-year courses leading to Diploma in Plastics Technology (DPT) and Diploma in Plastics Mould Technology (DPMT). Graduates with a B.Sc. can apply for a two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Plastics Processing and Testing (PGD-PPT).
Interested students can submit applications online through link — https://cipet26.onlineregistrationform.org/CIPET/ — on or before May 28, 2026. The application fee is ₹250 for SC / ST candidates and ₹500 for others.

Highlighting the employment prospects, Dr. Sekhar said students completing these programmes can join multinational companies and allied industries in the plastics sector. The available positions include Junior Engineer (Production), Mould Designer and Maker, Junior Engineer (Maintenance), and Quality Control Inspector.
The CIPET director said selected candidates can expect starting salaries ranging from ₹18,000 to ₹25,000 per month. He disclosed that even average students can achieve good career growth through these industry-oriented programmes.
Andhra Pradesh government will extend fee reimbursement to eligible students pursuing these courses, Dr. Sekhar disclosed.
