CJI Offers Prayers at Tirumala Temple
CJI Justice Sanjiv Khanna, on his first visit to the Tirumala shrine, was accorded a ceremonial welcome and offered prayers alongside his wife.

Tirupati: Chief Justice of India Justice Sanjiv Khanna, along with his wife, offered prayers at the famed Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple at Tirumala on Sunday. During his maiden visit to the shrine, Justice Khanna and his wife were accorded a ceremonial welcome at the Mahadwaram by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) executive officer J. Syamala Rao and additional EO Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary. The riests welcomed the CJI with ‘Istikaphal’ honour amid Vedic chanting before ushering him to the sanctum sanctorum. After the darshan of the deity, the CJI was presented with Sesha Vastram and received Veda Aseervachanam by the priests at the Ranganayakula Mandapam inside the temple. Later, the TTD EO presented him with Theertha-Prasadams and a portrait of Lord Venkateshwara. TTD chief vigilance and security officer (incharge) V. Harshavardhan Raju accompanied the CJI during his temple visit.
