Anantapur:Tension prevailed at Pulivendula after the close aide of TD MLC Ramgopal Reddy was attacked by associates of TD in-charge B Tech Ravi in Kadapa district on Friday. The altercation was related to the FP shop issue.
MLC Ramgopal Reddy’s wife, Uma Devi, staged a protest demanding the release of her husband’s aide, Prakash, who was allegedly abducted by B Tech Ravi’s group.
According to sources, Prakash from Vempalle had applied for an FP shop and appeared for the test at a school in Pulivendula. Prakash was recommended by MLC Ramgopal Reddy, but B Tech Ravi’s supporters, from the same village, were also competing. They allegedly assaulted Prakash and tried to prevent him from attending the test.
Upon hearing the news, Uma Devi staged a protest, demanding the release of Prakash. The police intervened and took action, securing Prakash’s release.
