Anantapur:Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will distribute old age pensions and address a grama sabha at Nemakal in Rayadurg assembly segment of Anantapur district on Saturday.
He will reach Bengaluru airport from Gannavaram by a special aircraft before proceeding to Nemakal. He will offer pooja at the five centuries’ old Lord Hanuman Temple and interact with villagers.
Party sources said Chandrababu Naidu is likely to announce construction of a reservoir at Nemakal to store water from the Tungabhadra High Level Canal, as sought by whip and Rayadurg MLA Kalava Sreenivasulu seven years ago.
Sreenivasulu told DC that the Chief Minister will announce implementation of the project that will help Anantapur and Satya Sai districts.
On Friday, Anantapur police led by SP P. Jagadish used drones to check and sanitise the area ahead of the CM’s visit to Nemakal and surrounding areas.
