CM’s new mantra, 'Speed of Doing Business,' says Vangalapudi Anitha
Visakhapatnam: Minister of home and disaster management Vangalapudi Anitha has encouraged women to develop courage in face challenges and seize opportunities to become successful entrepreneurs.
Anitha, who was the chief guest at the CII PSU Connect 2024, an exclusive vendor development event for women entrepreneurs held in Visakhapatnam on Friday, has emphasised the significance of a fearless attitude in overcoming challenges and seizing opportunities in entrepreneurship.
Anitha said, “Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has emphasised the need to focus on the 'Speed of Doing Business' rather than the 'Ease of Doing Business' to enhance the state’s industrial landscape. So, overcome your fears and strive to achieve new heights by selecting a product that 70% of consumers can use to establish a successful business.”
She said societal perceptions often remain skewed by gender biases despite women occupying leadership positions. She called for an attitudinal change, beginning with how children are raised to foster a more equitable society.
The minister has urged the financial institutions to support women-led start-ups by providing easier access to loans and creating awareness about government schemes designed to facilitate ease of doing business.
The CII PSU Connect 2024 was organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry and CII Indian Women Network, focusing on empowering women-led Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
