Vijayawada: A special police team in NTR district, formed on November 10 to investigate missing women cases, has traced 18 women in the past seven days.
NTR district commissioner of police (SP) Raja Sekhara Babu constituted the team after reviewing pending missing women and child cases across the district.
The department identified 121 missing cases of women and children and launched a probe using technology and available evidence to trace them. As a result, the special police team successfully located 18 missing individuals, reuniting them safely with their families. These cases were reported under various police stations in the district.
Police officials stated that the special team will continue its efforts to expedite investigations and trace more missing women and children.
