Kurnool: Robbers attacked a couple in Nandyal and took away valuables worth thousands of rupees on the outskirts near Rythunagar. The robbers snatched a gold chain weighing 3 tolas from the woman and stole Rs 10,000 in cash before escaping from the place on Wednesday.
Three masked men targeted the victims, who were sitting in their car, by throwing stones to frighten them. After forcing Prabhas and the young woman out of their vehicle, the criminals threatened them with knives and assaulted them.
After the attack, Prabhas required some medical attention and was admitted to Nandyal Government General Hospital for treatment. Police officials, including DSP Manda Javali Alfons and the clues team, arrived to investigate the crime spot. Special teams have also been formed to catch the perpetrators. Police have noted similarities between this incident and a recent robbery near Shanthiram Hospital where another couple was targeted while riding a motorcycle and investigating on the lines.
KGH to host orthopaedic workshop OSSAPCON
Visakhapatnam: The OSSAPCON state orthopaedic workshop will be held in Visakhapatnam from January 30 to February 2. KGH superintendent P. Sivananda informed about the workshop at a press conference on Wednesday.
The workshop, themed “Excellence across all dimensions of orthopaedics”, will feature Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav as the chief guest. Around 400 participants are scheduled to have presentations, and approximately 100 doctors will participate in the workshop.A free conference will be held on January 30.
A six-member team led by Dr Rajashekhar, director of Ganga Hospital, will give a live presentation on polytrauma open injury management. Medical experts will deliver talks on various orthopaedic topics throughout the workshop.
