CS Wants WhatsApp Governance Platform in Both English and Telugu

Vijayawada: AP chief secretary K. Vijayanand on Friday asked Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS) to provide technical support to various government departments in order to enhance their performance.

The CS visited the RTGS centre at the Secretariat, where the society’s CEO K. Dinesh Kumar and director Suresh Kumar briefed him about the on-going activities of the RTGS. During

Vijayanand wanted RTGS to function in line with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s vision as a cutting-edge technological platform within the government to achieve the objectives of CM and ensure better outcomes.

The chief secretary disclosed that Chandrababu Naidu is committed to introducing WhatsApp Governance, so that government services are accessible to the public. He inquired from RTGS officials the progress made in achieving WhatsApp Governance.

In response, society CEO Dinesh Kumar informed Vijayanand that nearly all the work related to WhatsApp Governance has been completed. He mentioned that about 150 types of public services will be offered through this platform, which will also allow citizens to file complaints via WhatsApp.

The Chief Secretary wanted WhatsApp Governance platform to be made available in both English and Telugu to ensure that it is easily understood by everyone. He asked RTGS to coordinate closely with every government department to ensure that they benefit from the innovative technologies developed by the society.

Vijayanand underlined that RTGS should help government departments overcome their shortcomings with technological solutions and improve their performance.

Further, the CS advised RTGS to assign its representative to each department, who would identify challenges in delivering public services and develop technological solutions to address those challenges.
